OOTD: Everything that drowns me makes me wanna fly

    Top: Primark
    Jeans: Primark
    Shoes: Deichmann

  • Threw this on to go shopping with my little sister
  • I love this top - it's business in the front and party in the back!
  • I'd forgotten how hard it is to take outfit pictures!
  • Also forgotten how much of a goof I turn into if you put me infront of a camera - enjoy the last two cheeky blurry outtakes!
  • Can't decide what colour these shoes are - grey or green?

Long time, no see

It's been an absolute age since I've posted on here! I've got 40 days left of summer (I know because I counted, how sad ey) and I was sorting through some of my clothes before and I worked out that I probably only actually wear around 20% of them which is shocking! So I've set myself a challenge: over the rest of the summer I'm going to try and wear as many of my clothes as possible.

Now I'm not going to only wear everything once because that would be alot of laundry and I don't have that many clothes but I am going to try and wear alot of different things and hopefully I'll create a few nice outfits aswell!

Hi! Here's my face again, it's been a while :P

U-G-L-Y

T-shirt and necklace: Unknown
Jeans: Primark
Boots: Spain

Cheesy wink: Model's own

You ain't got no alibi, you ugly, ey ey, you ugly! (Shout out to an old primary school chant!)

Wore this out today (plus my trusty woollen jumper) to buy a new oven as my dad broke ours on Sunday, what's he like ey? I got this t-shirt way back when over summer and it just epitomises autumn to me. It also has that weird quality some clothes have where it's so ugly, it's almost beautiful (hence the post title and childish chant). I mentioned this quality in passing to my sister before to which she replied 'Oh, so it's like you then' errr I'll take that as a compliment.

I also got these jeans over summer when I finally decided that my very old skinny jeans were definitely too short now and I couldn't get away with rolling them up any longer *sad face*

Finally it's been yeeeears since I posted (okay it was only last March) so I'll get you up to date with what's new in my life:

  • I'm now a qualified girl having passed my GCSE exams in the summer, woop woop!
  • I almost have a job, watch this space!
  • I got Twitter for my blog - @TheTrendyTeen
P.S. This new Blogger layout baffles me!

Pastels | Everybody, Everywear

Hi everybody, my name's Bethan and I'm a pleather-skirt-aholic.

This skirt's been present in three out of four of my last outfit posts. I do have more than one skirt in my wardrobe. Promise. One day, if you're lucky, I might even show them to you.

I spent the night at my friend Lucy's for a Come Dine with Me evening and I ate an insane amount.  Forget food baby, I'm talking food twins. But it was hard not to when the food was so delicious. We ate bruschetta with goats cheese for starters, chicken curry and rice for main and lemon tart and chocolate brownies for desert (did you read that in the Come Dine with Me voiceover guy's voice?)

The dress code was dressy (just an excuse for us to dress up and wear heels really) but being 5'9" I don't really need to wear heels so I stuck to my trusty two-tone brogues. I also tried to curl my hair with curling sticks but by the end of the night (and by the time I took these photos) all the curls had fallen out. I bought this top in the January sales for a pound, okay fair enough it's a size 16 and a tad on the big side but it's perfect for tucking into skirts and shorts. This is my first pastel look of 2012, may there be many more!

Spread your wings and fly away

Hat, skirt, belt - Primark
Jumper - Charity Shop
Tights - unkwown
Nails: Barry M Mint

Classic Batman socks

I'm abit of a walking advertisement for Primark today, oh well. Bought a mini-haul of accessories in Primark at the beginning of February and this belt and hat were part of it. It always amazes me how important accessories are for an outfit, how colourless would this outfit be without my hat, belt and nails?

Spread your wings and fly away
Fly away far away
Spread your little wings and fly away
Fly away far away
Pull yourself together
'Cause you know you should do better
That's because you're a free man

(I'm a little bit obsessed with Queen right now)
